It’s day 12 of celebrating poetry and I have another reason why poetry is so amazing. Years ago I was going through a break up which had the ability to deter me from my purpose and lead me down a rabbit hole of anger and depression. After months of feeling vulnerable and slighted, I decided to poetically express a dream I had. The dream and the poem allowed me to release my hurt and give it to GOD because GOD knows we cannot do it alone. To this day I appreciate what I went through to get to where I am today because I am where I need to be and for me and my daughter.
