What books do you want to read?

I am looking forward to listening to the audio book by Jada Pinkett Smith. I have heard a lot of great things about this book from the individuals who read it. Now the controversy seems to come from the ones who have not read it. Sometimes it is best to research information on your own. Otherwise people will have you believing anything they say.

Yesterday, I just finished Finding Me, which is the audio book for Viola Davis. This audio book was everything I needed and more. It was like her stories took me back to my childhood where I was confronted with some of the same experiences of being a dark skin child. Viola reading the book was the extra spice that I needed to hear the power, frustration, and truth in her voice. Viola is an amazing example of determination, strength, and a glimpse that we are not what people project on us… In my opinion ❤️

Will is definitely on the list to read. I want to read about him. Learning about his childhood and transition into adulthood may help me understand why he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars in 2022.

Lastly, I want to finish the book for Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. The book is about a Nigerian girl who moved to the United States (New Jersey) with her family. The young lady became the famous writer we know today as Chimamamda.
