Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.

This day would take place in September and will be in conjunction with World Literacy Day. During this event/week, we would encourage children to learn how to read. Various Children’s Book Authors would visit classrooms, read books, and also hand out free books. Authors would also complete activities towards literacy and their children’s books.

The love of literacy not only starts at home, but also at a young age. Encouraging a child to read allows them to grow into what the love, develop it, and encourage others.
